What is IELTS:


It comprises of four modules-


The IELTS listening test takes approximately 30 minutes. The listening material is recorded on a cassette tape/CD/DVD which you will hear only once. At the end of the recorded material you will be given 10 minutes to copy your answers in to the answer sheet.


The reading component consist of two parts one is Academic and other one is General, as mostly students opt for Academic the pattern is difficult but in general IELTS the candidate has to undergo easier reading session which are generally of lower standard. Academic reading has three passages and 40 questions and general reading has 4-5 passages and 40 questions


The writing component consist of two parts one is Academic and another is General. In Academic writing there are two tasks nameky graphs and essay and in General writing candidate has to undergo letter writing section. Task 2 carries more weight in your final band score than Task 1.


The IELTS Speaking test takes around 11 to 15 minutes and is in the form of an interview. The interview will mostly probably seen like friendly conversation which typically covers your past,present and future situations. It comprises of three parts namely introductory questions,Cue card topic and Follow up questions on Cue card topic


PTE is Pearson Test Of English which is conducted in order to check the proficiency of non-native speakers. All modules namely Listening, Reading, Speaking , Writing are assessed on computer in 3 hours.
